Al-Najd Development Forum conducts awareness-raising sessions on gender-based violence in North Gaza.

Al-Najd Development Forum conducted several awareness-raising sessions at shelters in the North Gaza Governorate, targeting women and girls to raise awareness about the risks of gender-based violence and methods of prevention. The sessions covered several key topics, most notably defining gender-based violence—including its forms and impacts—safe reporting mechanisms, and protection against sexual exploitation and abuse. They also provided information on initial psychological support for survivors, the importance of safe referral and access to protection and support services, and raised awareness regarding the risks of early and forced marriage.These meetings are part of the Al-Najd Development Forum’s efforts to raise awareness regarding protection issues and to enhance the community's capacity to prevent and address violence, thereby contributing to a safer environment for women and girls amidst current humanitarian conditions. The sessions saw positive engagement from the participants, who emphasized the importance of these activities in correcting misconceptions, fostering a culture of protection and safe reporting, and encouraging individuals to seek assistance from relevant authorities when needed.
